At the end of his career, Tom Fox held eight different men's basketball program records - single game: points, field goals and free throws; season: scoring average, free throws attempted and free throws made; career: free throws attempted and free throws made - and he still ranks 22nd all-time with 1,015 career points.

During his senior year (1961-62) he scored 436 points, including a school record 48 points versus Upsala, to average 19.0 points per game while also averaging 8.0 rebounds per game. Fox earned First Team Tri-State All-Star and First Team All-Metropolitan honors that year. In 1960-61, as a junior, he led the team in free throw percentage (.658) and averaged 16.2 points per game.

Fox was also a member of the men's soccer team, helping the Knights to a combined record of 22-8-4 over three years. In 1960 he posted 111 saves and a 1.46 goals against average. He followed up with 112 saves, a 1.45 goals against average and an .875 save percentage in 1961. His .875 career save percentage still ranks third all-time and his 223 saves rank eighth all-time.
