Johnny David (2000-03) was an outstanding midfielder for the men's soccer program. In 2000, he was named Second Team All-Northeast Conference, but that was just the start of his accomplishments. David was a member of the 2001 Elite Eight team that was inducted in the 2013 Hall of Fame class. He was a member of the incredible run of four consecutive NEC Tournament Championships as well as four NCAA Tournament appearances. In the 2001 season, David was also named First Team All-NEC and Second Team All-Region. Two thousand three was the top of David's career when he was named Third Team All-American, First Team All-Region, the NEC Player of the Year, the NEC Men's Soccer Scholar-Athlete of the Year and to the CoSIDA Academic All-District Second Team. In 2004, David signed a contract with G.D. Chaves, a club in the second division of professional soccer in Portugal.
