FDU Knights Athletics

Rusty Spahr enjoyed a stellar three-year career with the FDU men’s golf team, competing from 1964-66. During his first year with the Knights he won three matches, before coming into his own in 1965 with an 11-2 record in match play. Spahr completed his senior year of 1966 undefeated in match play at 11-0, bringing his career record to 25-9-1. As a senior, he shot a 75 to capture the Metropolitan Golf Association individual championship and also helped the Knights to a team title. He became only the second Fairleigh Dickinson golfer to capture the individual crown.
