Led by legendary head coach Tom Green, the 1997-98 NEC champion men's basketball team will be honored as the 19th team to be inducted to the hall. Prior to finishing off LIU on the road 105-91 in the conference championship game, the Knights completed the regular season with a 23-7 record, including a 13-3 mark in the NEC. Over the course of the season Elijah Allen logged 515 points (tenth in program history), Rahshon  Turner grabbed 313 rebounds (fifth in program history) and recorded 63 blocked shots (third in program history).
