Hall of Fame Induction Speech - 1/31/20

A three-time All-NEC honoree, Gordon Klaiber punches his ticket to the FDU Hall of Fame after a four-year career which included a 2005 NEC Championship. Klaiber's name is littered throughout the FDU record book as he ranks sixth all-time in points (1,589), fifth in field goals made (577) and 3-pointers (149), eighth in rebounds (698) and third in blocked shots (144).

Klaiber was selected to the All-NEC First Team in 2004 and 2005 and earned an All-NEC Second Team nod as a senior in 2006. In 2005, the Greenbelt, Maryland product averaged 16 points and 7.9 rebounds per game to help lead the Knights to an NEC Championship and NCAA Tournament appearance, while garnering All-NEC Tournament Team accolades. In the Knights' NCAA Tournament First Round matchup with top-seed and unbeaten Illinois, Klaiber poured in a game-high 24 points to go along with eight rebounds.

The 6-foot-9 forward followed his junior campaign by helping the Knights earn a bid to the NIT in 2006 with a 20-12 overall record and 14-4 conference mark.
