Pat Ford Preziosi was the only freshman to win a place at the New Jersey Division of the Amateur Fencers League Novice Competition. As a sophomore, she placed third at the Christmas Invitational and won 17 of 18 bouts at the Individual Novice Competition. As captain, she took third in the 37th Annual Women’s Intercollegiate Fencing Tournament, winning first place in a three day competition against Hunter, FDU Rutherford and Newark Rutgers to become the only classified fencer on the team at the “C” level.  She continued on to place sixth in a field of 56 women at the NJ State Women’s Fencing Championships, advancing her to the National Championships at Los Angeles.  As a senior, she won eight of nine matches to become the first married woman to win the crown at the 39th annual National Fencing Championships of the Intercollegiate Women’s Fencing Association at Hunter College.  In 1968 she was ranked fifth among women in the New Jersey Division of Amateur Fencers League of America State rankings.
