An inaugural member of Fairleigh Dickinson University's Division I Athletics Hall of Fame, George Glasgow, Class of '53, was one of FDU's most successful coaches on the soccer pitch and one of its best players on the basketball court.  The head coach for men's soccer from 1956 through 1969 and then again from 1974 through 1976, Glasgow took over the program just three years after graduating.  Glasgow guided the Knights to eight post-season tournaments, an NAIA Tournament appearance in 1958 and seven NCAA Tournament berths.  As an undergraduate, Glasgow was a star on several of the Knights' best basketball teams, where he became FDU's first 1,000-point scorer.
