Denitra Seals began her career with Northeast Conference Rookie of the Year honors, en route to four-consecutive All-NEC awards becoming the first player in league history to win both All-Conference and All-Tournament honors for four consecutive seasons. She owns the school record of 2,580 assists and ranks fourth all-time with 1,111 kills. Seals’ 1,664 digs rank second in program history, while her .240 hitting percentage represents the second-highest ever, and her 179 service aces stand third-best all-time. She is recorded in the top-three of four statistical categories on six occasions. Seals’ 1,044 assists in 1995 are a second-best single-season output, topping her third-place mark of 838. Her 399 kills in 1996 are the second-highest single-season total, with her .270 hitting percentage in 1993 holding the same rank. Seals’ 64 aces in 1994 are third-place in single-season annuls, coupled with a third-highest single-season hitting percentage of .270. She served as team-co-captain in her junior and senior seasons while also being named the FDU Female Athlete of the Year as well as the New Jersey Association of Intercollegiate Athletics for Women’s “Woman Athlete of the Year” in 1997. A two-time All-Tournament selection at the UAs a freshman, Seals headlined a third-place team, pacing the team with 280 kills and 25 block assists. The next season, she played in a team-high 140 games, posting a team-best 313 kills and 838 assists. In 1995, she led the team and conference with 8.6 assists per game – in addition to her 119 kills and 1,044 assists – leading the team to a second-place NEC showing. Seals dominated her senior campaign with a team-leading 299 kills and 329 digs.
