Sage DoVale was named the adidas/NEC honors after recording a solid weekend in goal for the Knights. The sophomore made three saves in a shutout against instate rival NJIT on Friday to help FDU pick up its first win of the season. In a 2-1 win over Manhattan on Sunday, DoVale proved to be a rock in goal picking up two saves, including a leaping save on a shot ripped directly on goal with six minutes to play to preserve the win for the Knights. After splitting time in goal last weekend, DoVale earned the Knights’ first two wins of the year to help the team improve to 2-2-1 on the season.
