Fairleigh Dickinson sophomore standout men's tennis player had a solid outing in the men's tennis team's spring home-opening win over Saint Francis University on Sunday, as the Knights swept the Red Flash, 7-0.
Berzins and teammate Ibrahim Shams helped FDU clinch the doubles' point by winning at No. 1 doubles, 8-6.
At No.1 singles, Berzins was a 6-1, 6-0 winner, as the Knights won every match in straight sets, combinding to outscore SFU, 73-19, over the 12 sets.
Berzins is 10-7 on the year in singles play, including 5-2 at No. 1 singles and 2-0 in NEC play. In doubles, he is 7-6 overall and 4-2 at No. 1 and 1-1 in conference action.
