For the second week in a row, the Fairleigh Dickinson women's tennis standout Anna Rapoport claimed the Northeast Conference women's tennis Player of the Week Award, announced by the league on Tuesday, April 2.
Rapoport makes it back-to-back NEC Player of the Week honors after improving to 4-0 in league play with a pair of No. 1 singles victories. Last Wednesday (3/27), the reigning NEC Player of the Year knocked off Sacred Heart's Gabi Kaldan, 6-1, 6-2, to spark the Knights to a 7-0 win over the Pioneers. Three days later, she outlasted Quinnipiac's Rachel Cantor, 6-4, 1-6, 6-3 in FDU's 4-3 win over the Bobcats in a battle of NEC powers. Rapoport has now won three straight singles matches for the Knights, who finished the spring 4-0 against NEC competition.
