Abbey England picked up a win and drove in a pair of runs over the opening weekend for Fairleigh Dickinson and the freshman was named Northeast Conference Freshman of the Week for her exploits. 

The La Center, Washington native, pitched five innings against UT Chattanooga on Saturday to pick up her first win as Knight. In that same game against the Mocs, England drove in a pair of runs as the Knights picked up a 9-5 win. 

England is the first Knight since Cheryl Lopez won Rookie of the Week back on May 5, 2014.
