Senior Kinu Rochford had one of the best two-game stretches you will ever see on the basketball court right before the end of the calendar year. In the loss against highly-touted VCU, Rochford went on for a career-high 30 points, grabbed a career-best 16 rebounds, dished out a career-high four assists, swatted three shots and recorded two steals in 40 minutes of action, while making 12-of-14 field goals and 6-of-7 free throws.
In FDU's win over Longwood on New Year's Eve, Rochford went off again, this time scoring a new career high in points with 32 on 12-of-13 shooting from the field, grabbed 11 rebounds for his fifth double-double of the season, picked up two assists and one block, while knocking down 8-of-11 free throws.
For the two games, Rochford averaged 31 points, 13.5 rebounds, three assists and two blocks. He shot 88.9 percent (24-of-27) from the field and 77.8 percent from the free throw line (14-of-18).
