Sophomore Erika Livermore was named the Choice Hotels Northeast Conference Player of the Week, announced by the league on Monday, Dec. 10.
The sophomore from Nazareth, Pa. put together back-to-back double-doubles as the Knights scored back-to-back victories over a pair of North Jersey rivals. The 6-foot-1 center averaged 16.5 points and 14.0 rebounds per contest to lead the FDU past NJIT and Saint Peter's.
Livermore exploded for a season highs in points (21) and rebounds (17) against NJIT. After shooting 64.3 percent from the field in a 67-58 win over the Highlanders, Livermore continued her impactful play at Saint Peter's three days later. She scored 12 points and secured a game-high 11 rebounds in the 55-50 road win over the Peacocks. Livermore's 12 points were more than any Saint Peter's player scored during the contest.
Livermore then helped lead FDU to its first three-game win streak of the season as her seventh double-double of the year (11 points, game-high 14 rebounds) propelled the Knights to a 56-49 victory at Stony Brook to improve their record to 4-5 on the season.
She ranks amongst the NEC's top-10 leaders in both scoring and rebounding. Her 13.9 points per game are ninth, while her 11.0 rebounds per contest are third. Her seven double-doubles lead the NEC.
