BRIDGEWATER, N.J.- Abigail McDonald earned her first career NEC Defensive Player of the Week award per an NEC release. This marks the first weekly award of the season for FDU. 

McDonald boasted a strong defensive outing against Iona, causing three turnovers and recovering a pair of ground balls. In the final seconds of the game, she caused a game deciding turnover to hold off the Gales' offense. She recovered the ground ball as FDU secured the 10-9 win. 

Joining her this week as an NEC Prime Performer is midfielder Nora Codiani.
