McInaw Captures NEC Rookie of the Week Honors

Hackensack N.J- FDU's freshman Brielle McInaw has been awarded the title of NEC Rookie of the Week, marking a monumental achievement as she is the first-ever Knight to earn a conference accolade. McInaw's exceptional performance against Howard included scoring four goals, assisting one, and securing five ground balls while winning 11 draw controls, served as the catalyst for her receiving this award.

During the conference matchup with Howard, McInaw reached new career heights by scoring four goals, assisting one, winning 11 draw controls, and picking up five ground balls, matching her career best of five points. With 19 goals and 21 points, McInaw has established herself as the Knights' leading goal-scorer and point-getter. In fact, McInaw currently leads the NEC for goals as a freshman and ranks among the top five in the nation for average goals per game by a freshman, averaging an impressive 2.71 goals per game. Her outstanding performance has contributed significantly to the Knights' recent win on the field.

"Brielle McInaw and Saige Gidzinski are always our consistent point scorers. But they worked very well together today on the draw control. They are a huge reason why we had possession on offense." Stated head coach Jessica Pandolf after the win against Howard.

The Knights will continue their NEC journey by competing against Wagner in Staten Island, New York, on April 1st.
