TEANECK, N.J. – Fairleigh Dickinson Fitness Center Director and Department Certified Dietician,
Scott Fisher formally announced the appointment of
Nicky Miranda as the department's new Head Strength and Conditioning Coach on Friday morning.
Miranda moves into his new role after spending the 2017-18 campaign as a graduate assistant on the strength and conditioning staff.
"We're very excited to have Nicky on board as our new Strength & Conditioning Coordinator," said Fisher. "He's extremely knowledgeable about his craft and works very well with our coaches and administrative staff. We expect that he will continue to build on an already well established program."
Prior to his arrival at Fairleigh Dickinson, Miranda spent three years serving as an assistant baseball coach at Haverford College. At Haverford, he helped the team reach the playoffs all three seasons, including a 2016 Centennial Conference championship.
While at Haverford, Miranda also served as a strength and conditioning intern at the University of Pennsylvania and Villanova. Prior to that, he coached football at Lawrence High School in Lawrenceville, New Jersey.
Miranda played collegiate baseball at Haverford where he helped lead the team to its first two conference championships. He was also named team captain and All-Centennial Conference First Team in 2014.
