Scott Fisher is a graduate of the University of Connecticut with a B.S. in Clinical Nutrition and also holds an M.S. in Exercise Physiology from Penn State University. He is a Registered Dietitian (R.D.) through the American Dietetic Association. In addition to his role as the Director of the Fitness Center, Fisher provides nutritional counseling and education to the student-athletes at FDU. He is also a member of the adjunct teaching faculty in Physical Education, the School of Nursing, and Petrocelli Collge.
Fisher has served as a nutrition consultant to a number of professional athletic teams in the area including the NY Red Bulls, New York Knicks and New Jersey Devils. He is also a frequent contributor and consultant to a number of publications including Runner’s World, Men’s Health and the Star Ledger newspaper.
On a personal note, Fisher has been a competitive runner for over 30 years and is a veteran of Ironman triathlons and more than 25 marathons. He also is an avid outdoor enthusiast and accomplished rock climber, mountaineer, and kayaker.
