LORETTO, Pa. -- Senior
Keyana Hynds (Bronx, N.Y./A. Philip Randolph) top-15 finish out of 67 runners paced the Fairleigh Dickinson women's cross country team Saturday at the Father Bede Invitational. As a team, the Knights finished fifth out of 10 teams, which featured nine schools from the Northeast Conference.
Despite finishing with her lowest time of the fall, Hynds still mustered a finish of 20:24 on the 5K (3.1 miles) Immergrun Golf Course. Coming in three spots behind was sophomore
Kristy Bono (Belleville, N.J./Belleville), who finished with an 18th-place time of 20:48.
Next to finish for FDU was sophomore
Jamie Bono (Belleville, N.J./Belleville), who completed the course in 21:20, which was good enough to finish in the top half.
Senior
Annemarie Pantke (Bremen, Germany/St. Johannis-Schule) (22:20), sophomores
Mildred Sam-Otuh (Allentown, Pa./Allentown Central Catholic) (23:06),
Skye Tiller (Woodbury, N.J./Woodbury) (23:06) and
Kenesha Brown (Easton, Pa./Easton Area) (23:50), and freshman
Omawattie Singh (Queens, N.Y./Boys and Girls) (24:18) rounded out the race for the Knights.
FDU will return to action Oct. 11 at the Metropolitan Championships at Van Cortlandt Park in the Bronx, N.Y. It will be the second time this season the Knights will race on this course.
