BRIDGEWATER, N.J.- FDU Women's Cross Country placed ninth in the 2025 NEC Women's Preseason Poll, per a conference release on Tuesday.
Central Connecticut was picked to repeat as champion in the preseason poll, grabbing seven first-place votes. Stonehill and Wagner both grabbed two first-place votes to tie for second, and Saint Francis grabbed a lone first-place vote to start the season in fourth place. The Knights ended the 2024 campaign with an eighth place finish at the NEC Championships. The Knights are returning four of their top five finishers from the 2024 NEC Championships.
Isabel Michel (48th), Gabriela Cardona (58th), Briana Reyes (62nd), and Kayla Smith (66th), all placed inside the top 70 at the NEC Championships, and all four are set to run for the Knights in the 2025 season.
FDU will open the 2025 season at the NJIT Season Opener in Newark, N.J. Action from Branch Brook Park will start at 5 p.m.
