Keyana Hynds (Bronx, N.Y./A. Philip Randolph) continued her impressive senior season by establishing a new personal record at any level of competition in her career on Friday at the Metropolitan Championships in Van Cortlandt Park. As a team the Knights finished in ninth place out of 12 teams.
Hynds finished the 5K (3.1 miles) course in 19:22, which was good enough for a 19th-place finish out of 124 runners. In the first meet of the season on the same course at the Fordham Fiasco/Ed Joyce Memorial she had established a new personal record, before blowing it out of the water on Friday by 37 seconds.
Sophomore
Jamie Bono (Belleville, N.J./Belleville) was the next runner to finish for FDU, and she established a new personal record with a time of 20:20, which was 15 seconds faster than the time she ran at the Fordham Fiasco/Ed Joyce Memorial.

Kristy Bono (Belleville, N.J./Belleville) completed the course in 21:24, and six seconds behind her was senior
Annemarie Pantke (Bremen, Germany/St. Johannis-Schule), who established a season-best time.

Mildred Sam-Otuh (Allentown, Pa./Allentown Central Catholic) also ran a season best, as she finished the race in 21:45, shaving 55 seconds off her time from the Fordham Fiasco/Ed Joyce Memorial. Finishing two seconds later was freshman

Omawattie Singh (Queens, N.Y./Boys and Girls) also established a new course personal record with a time of 23:04, and freshman
Caitlin Boyles (Upper Marlboro, Md./Largo) finished in 23:28, as she was competing in her first-ever collegiate meet.
The Knights will return to action Oct. 25 when they return to Van Cortlandt Park to host the FDU Knights Challenge at 3:30 p.m.
