BRIDGEWATER, N.J. – FDU claimed two more NEC Women's Soccer Awards this week, after the Knights began their NEC campaign with two victories. Rosemarie Leblanc was named the Defensive Player of the Week for the third time this season, while Ana Salas earned Player of the Week honors.

Leblanc kept two clean sheets as FDU defeated Le Moyne and Stonehill. Her six-save performance at Stonehill was crucial as the Knights held on for 1-0 victory. The junior goalkeeper is up to five shutouts on the season.

Salas' clutch goal against Stonehill lifted the senior to her first award of the season. She converted a penalty kick in the 82' to secure the three points for FDU. The always influential Salas also picked up an assist against Le Moyne for a three-point week.

FDU returns home on Thursday, September 24, to take on Mercyhurst. Kickoff is scheduled for 6 p.m.
