BRIDGEWATER, N.J. – FDU women's lacrosse is in the midst of a four-game winning streak, and the contributions are coming from the roster's veterans and young talent. Today, freshman
Mia Layne was named the NEC Rookie of the Week.
Layne's stellar debut campaign continued this week in wins over Presbyterian and Central Connecticut. Layne recorded two goals in each game and finished the week with five points. She has scored at least two goals in three consecutive contests.
With nine tallies on the year, Layne is fourth on the team in goals. She has scored in every FDU win over the course of their current winning streak. The Knights are 4-2 when Layne records a goal.
Layne and the Knights are back this Saturday, March 21, to take on LIU in Brookville, N.Y. at 12 p.m.
