BRIDGEWATER, N.J.— The Knights pair of Kylie Nott and Kyndal Ganoe took home two of the three top NEC weekly awards on Tuesday, September 23. Kylie Nott was named the NEC/Molten Player of the Week, and Kyndal Ganoe was named NEC/Molten Co-Defensive Player of the Week.
Senior middle blocker Kylie Nott was a powerhouse, owning the net and being named the FDU/Iona Invitational MVP. In their five-set victory over Iona, the Rockwall native had 15 kills (5/set), 6 blocks, and 3 digs, hitting .636. In their match against Manhattan, the senior captain tallied 9 kills (3/set) and 2 blocks, hitting .615. Against Columbia, Nott would have 7 kills and 2 blocks. On the weekend, the Texan would have a hitting efficiency of .542 with 31 kills and 10 blocks.
From the back-row, Senior Libero, Kyndal Ganoe led the Knights defense in their 3-0 weekend sweep with wins over Iona, Manhattan, and Columbia. The senior accumulated 40 digs (4.44/set) over the three games, including a career high 19 digs in the team's five-set win over Iona. This is the Bardstown native's second NEC/Molten Defensive Player of the Week award this season.
The Knights will travel down the road to Newark, N.J. to face NJIT tomorrow, Wednesday September 24th at 6 p.m.
