BRIDGEWATER, N.J — The NEC released its 2025 all-conference selections and major award recipients for women's volleyball on Thursday afternoon. FDU earned one First Team selection, and two Second Team selections. Additionally, sophomore Alessia Zampieri was named Rookie of the Year.
Zampieri became the first Knight in the rally-scoring era to earn Rookie of the Year honors. The Italian standout dominated on the right side this season, collecting five NEC/Molten Rookie of the Week awards. A force at the net, she tallied 225 points, 189 kills, and 63 blocks while hitting .260, securing a spot on the All-NEC Second team.
Two additional Knights received all-conference recognition. Senior Kylie Nott earned a place on the All-NEC First Team, while senior Kyndal Ganoe was named to All-NEC Second Team.
Senior outside hitter Kylie Nott powered FDU's offense, transitioning from middle blocker to outside hitter halfway through the season. After earning Second Team honors last season, the Texas native continued her dominance, finishing with 255 kills, 67 blocks, and 55 digs. She ended the regular season ranked third in the NEC in hitting percentage (.332) and in the top ten of the conference for points.
Senior libero Kyndal Ganoe anchored down the Knights' defense. The Kentucky native earned three NEC/Molten Defensive Player of the Week awards, solidifying her spot as just one of two liberos selected to this year's all-conference teams. Ganoe closed the regular season with 361 digs and 112 assists.
The Knights head to Steinberg Wellness Center (Brooklyn, N.Y.) to face off against #2 Saint Francis in the NEC Semifinal on Friday, November 21, at 2 p.m. Fans can catch all the action on NEC Front Row.
