HACKENSACK, N.J. – The FDU women's soccer team closed its 2024 campaign in Washington, D.C., falling to Howard, 2–1, in the NEC Championship match. While the Knights' chance for redemption against the Bison won't come until the final day of the regular season, their 2025 slate kicks off more than two months earlier with a matchup at Boston College on August 17.
Boston College marks FDU's first ACC opponent since 2022, opening yet another challenging non-conference stretch for the Knights. The Burgundy and Blue continue their road swing at Bucknell on August 24 — a team that, like FDU, came up just short in its conference title match last fall. The Knights will wrap up their four-match road trip with a clash against the reigning MAAC champions, Fairfield, on August 31.
The non-conference home schedule features two marquee matchups against Big Five opponents. FDU will host Penn in its home opener on September 4, followed by a visit from Saint Joseph's on September 14.
The conference schedule finally gets going on September 18 when FDU takes on Delaware State in Teaneck. The Knights will travel to take on conference newcomer New Haven on September 21 in the match immediately following.
Eric Teepe's team will also have to travel to Mercyhurst (October 5) and Chicago State (October 12) for the first time since those teams joined the NEC in 2024.
The regular season concludes at University Stadium against Howard on November 2.
The NEC semifinals are scheduled for November 6 with the championship match slated for November 9. Both rounds will be played on the higher seed's home pitch.
