TEANECK, N.J. – The FDU women's soccer season came to an end in the NEC semifinal on Thursday evening. The #1 seeded Knights (9-6-5, 9-0-2) fell 1-0 to #4 Central Connecticut (7-5-5, 6-1-4) at University Stadium.
The teams spent a majority of the first half easing into the match. The CCSU keeper made three saves as the teams headed tied at 0-0 into the halftime break.
The Blue Devils scored in the 52
nd minute to break the tie.
Despite outshooting CCSU 22-3, FDU could not find the equalizer.
The Blue Devils now advance to Sunday's NEC Championship.
