Women's Soccer Welcomes Eight New Additions

TEANECK, N.J. – FDU women's soccer officially welcomed eight additions to their 2025 roster on Thursday afternoon. The Knights are in pursuit of the program's third NEC Championship after appearing in the conference final last season.  

"Coming off of a great season, that we wish lasted one more game, we are excited to add to our team with this diverse and versatile class," said Head Women's Soccer Coach Eric Teepe. "We expect great things from them and already know they will fit in great with our team culture and expectations."

The class includes seven freshmen and one transfer, who is set to join the team in August as a sophomore. Teepe also continued to strengthen his Spanish pipeline with the addition of two players from Spain.

2025 FDU Women's Soccer Signing Class:
#13 Laia Oller Ramos – GK, Freshman (Barcelona, Spain/INS Can Planas)
  • Played for FC Barcelona C in the Femini Cadet F7 – Primera Divisio, Group 2
  • Made nine starts in 19 appearances
#15 Alexa Castro – MID, Freshman (Fort Lee, N.J./Fort Lee)
  • Represented the Dominican Republic in the 2024 U17 Women's World Cup and during CONCACAF qualifying at the U15, U17 and U20 levels.
  • Fort Lee soccer all-time leading goal scorer at 84 goals
#16 Maria Barrero – MID, Sophomore (Madrid, Spain/Drake)
  • Logged 118 minutes over seven appearances as a freshman at Drake
  • Played for Claret Madrid in Class 2C and the Madrid CFF club team
#19 Allison Nase – MID, Freshman (Howell, N.J./Howell)
  • Named first team all-division, first team all-county and first team all-shore at Howell
  • Played at the club level for PDA Shore 2007 & ENCL-RL Blue Riptide
#23 Sarah Gomez – MID, Freshman (Englewood, N.J./Academies at Englewood)
  • Captured four league championships and one state title in high school
  • Played at the club level for STA
#25 Kelsey Spears – FWD, Freshman (Saint Albans, N.Y./Saint Francis Preparatory School)
  • Played at the club level for Downtown United Soccer Club
  • Saint Albans is located in the southeastern portion of Queens
#27 Mya Pierce-Rufus – MID/FWD, Freshman (Delran, N.J./Delran)
  • Earned All-South Jersey honors in high school
  • Will also join the track and field team at FDU
#28 Gabriella Gerry – MID/FWD, Freshman (Lewiston, Maine. /Edward Litte)
  • Named the Sun Journal Player of the Year in Maine
  • Played at the club level for Seacoast United
