BRIDGEWATER, N.J. – Following her third brace of conference play,
Katia Cardaba was named the NEC Co-Player of the Week for the first time this season. It is the second time in her career she has garnered the weekly honor from the conference office.
Cardaba was dynamite again in FDU's dominant 4-0 victory over Chicago State. She scored two second half goals to help seal her team's sixth straight victory. It is the third time in conference play alone the junior has recorded two goals in a match.
The Spanish midfielder leads FDU with seven goals and is one of the top three goal scorers in the conference. She currently is fourth in the NEC in points.
Cardaba joins
Ana Salas and
Marina Burzaco as one of three Knights to be named the NEC Player of the Week this season.
The Knights are back home this Thursday, October 16, at 4 p.m. They will take host Central Connecticut on NEC Front Row.
