STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. – FDU men's and women's track and field competed on Friday in the 2025 Gotham Cup.

It was a stellar afternoon for the Knights, with several high finishes and personal bests.

• Nilaja Wiltshire continued a dominant 2025 campaign, winning the weight throw with a personal best of 16.53m. Wiltshire also placed second in the shot put with a distance of 14.27m. 
• Liam Schwabik dominated in the 800m, winning the event with a personal best time of 1:56.72.
• The men's distance medley relay had a stellar day, placing second with a personal best time of 10:30.80.
• It was a good day in the men's high jump for the Knights. Jordan Larosiliere and Ethan Ruffin each set personal bests. Larosiliere and Ruffin each jumped a height of 1.94m.
• The women's long jump also saw two personal bests for FDU. Khalia Boyce set a personal record with 5.26m, and Yakira DeRouen set a personal record with a distance of 5.14m.
• Two Knights picked up personal bests in the men's 5000m. Luis Abreu placed fifth with a time of 15:28.76, and Kidus Zeleke placed eighth with a time of 15:40.26.
• The FDU women's 4x400m relay team also had an exceptional day. The team placed eighth with a personal best time of 4:08.52.
• Amaiya Richardson set a personal best in the women's 500m with a time of 1:23.18.
• Dean Joseph set a personal best in the men's 500m with a time of 1:08.78.
• Darien Cade set personal bests in both the shot put and weight throw. Cade placed fourth in the shot put with a distance of 14.83m. He also recorded a distance of 14.94m in the weight throw.
• Trevor Ehrlicher set a personal best in the men's one-mile run with a time of 4:28.49.
