TEANECK, N.J. - FDU women's soccer head coach
Eric Teepe announced the arrival of
Morgan Bower and
Shaun Holder to the Knights' 2022 technical staff. The duo join Teepe, now in his ninth season as FDU's head coach, and graduate assistant
Mackenzie Hanna who is in the midst of her second campaign on the Hackensack.
"We are extremely excited to be adding Morgan and Shaun to our staff," commented Teepe. "We know that they will be able to add both experience and knowledge to our team in our goal of a NEC championship."
A 2021 graduate of Saint Joseph's (NCAA Division I - A-10), Bower joins FDU as the assistant women's soccer coach following a stellar career with the Hawks. Attaining A-10 Conference Commissioner's Honor Roll status each of her five seasons in Philadelphia, Bower was a 2017 A-10 All-Rookie Team selection, a 2018 Second Team All-Conference selection and 2018 A-10 All-Championship Team honoree. Additionally, Bower - a Millville, Pa. native - was the team's Offensive Player of the Year in back-to-back seasons, taking home the hardware in 2017 and 2018, recording 15 goals over two seasons to go along with 33 statistical points.
Besides being a part of the women's soccer side at Saint Joseph's, Bower spent several seasons as a member of the Hawks' women's track and field program and was named the team's Rookie of the Year in 2017 and also holds the program record in javelin.
Bower received a Bachelor of Science degree in Math and Natural Science and Bachelor of Science in Health Studies, majoring in Biology and Interdisciplinary Health Services.
"I'm so excited for this new journey at FDU and to be part of the coaching staff," said Bower. "I look forward to showcasing my knowledge and experience with this great group of women. I cannot wait to help continue the success of the FDU women's soccer program!"
From nearby Hackensack, N.J., Holder joins FDU as a volunteer assistant coach. Graduating from Seton Hall, Holder has served as a coach with the Hackensack Royals Soccer Club and previously coached with Teaneck High School's boys soccer program.
FDU women's soccer's 2022 campaign continues on Thursday, August 25 when the side travels south to battle Monmouth at 4 p.m. on ESPN+.
