Knights Outlook
The Knights are looking for redemption against SFU after a three-set loss in Loretto, Pa. earlier this season. Since they last met, FDU has amassed a four-set win to Merrimack and loss to Bryant.
Senior Allegra Rivas fueled the FDU defense, landing a NEC Co-Defensive Player of the Week honors. Leading the Knights in both matches, Rivas averaged seven digs per set and recorded a season-high 31 digs against Merrimack.Â
Other prime performers for FDU included graduate student Miriam Stingl who posted a double-double against Merrimack with 18 kills and 13 digs. Freshman Hannah Schmidt anchored the Knights through both matches with 8.14 assists per set, also tallying a season-high five kills and three aces against Merrimack. Â

The Red Flash will meet the Knights again following a loss to Bryant and a sweep against Merrimack. Led by head coach Sara McMullen in her fourth season, SFU currently stands at number three in the conference.
On Tuesday, SFU libero Maggie Means earned her third NEC Rookie of the Week honors after posting 31 total digs against Bryant and Merrimack. Senior Madi Tyus continues to lead the Red Flash offensive battle with an average 4.24 kills per set.Â

Next Up
Following their matchup with SFU, the Knights will begin a series of home conference matches at the Rothman Center. The Knights will compete against Bryant on Friday at 7 p.m. followed by Merrimack at 4 p.m. on Saturday.
