Knights Outlook

The Knights are looking to add a pair of statement victories this weekend following a straight-set loss to Saint Francis U (Pa.) last weekend at Degol Arena.

Sophomore Madisyn Beirne paced the Knights against SFU with 2.6 kills per set. Leading in assists was freshman Hannah Schmidt who posted 14 assists along with four digs to anchor FDU against the Red Flash's powerful attacks.

Scouting Bryant

Bryant leads the NEC following a sweep over Merrimack and non-conference opponent Rhode Island last week at home. The Bulldogs have posted a solid NEC campaign, recording a single five-set loss against LIU earlier this month.

Led by head coach Theresa Garlacy in her 26th season, Bryant currently leads the NEC in kills with an average 13.33 kills per set. Junior Riley James leads the team with 198 attacks on the season and ranks second on the team in digs with an average 2.53 digs per set.

Scouting Merrimack

Standing at number eight in the conference, Merrimack is looking for their first win of the season following a loss to Bryant last week. The Knights have won all four matches against the Warriors since the team joined the NEC in 2019.

The Warriors are helmed by first-year head coach Stephanie Kazmierczak in her first season. Senior Brooke Leestma leads Merrimack recording 101 of the team's 433 season kills. Senior Megan Rumenapp anchors the team with an average 3.61 assists per set.

From Coach France

"This week we will make a trip to two tough gyms. Bryant will be a huge test for us and Merrimack will want revenge since we defeated them at their place last season."

Next Up

After returning from Merrimack, the Knights will prepare to host Saint Francis U (Pa.) in Hackensack, N.J. at 4 p.m. in the Rothman Center.
