HACKENSACK, N.J. – Northeast Conference play gets underway for the Fairleigh Dickinson women's soccer team on Friday night at University Stadium when Central Connecticut State comes to Teaneck.

LAST TIME OUT
Fairleigh Dickinson and Cornell played to a 0-0 draw on Sunday. The Knights had 22 shots in the game, and 13 made it on goal.
Amanda Fitzgerald made seven saves in goal and picked up the shutout. It was the fourth time this season that Fitzgerald has made seven or more stops.
SERIES SCORE
The Knights are 5-12 all-time against the Blue Devils but have won the last two meetings – 1-0 in 2015 and 2-0 last season. Fairleigh Dickinson is 3-6 at University Stadium against Central Connecticut, with all three wins coming since 2011.
SCOUTING CENTRAL CONNECTICUT
The Blue Devils come in at 4-5 on the season and are coming off a 1-0 win over Temple last Saturday. Central Connecticut is 2-1 over its last, which followed a four-game losing streak. Danielle Pearse leads the offense for Central with five points (2G, 1A) with three players tied with four points. Ashley Cavanaugh has played and started eight of the nine games in goal for the Blue Devils. The junior sports a 1.07 GAA and a .810 save percentage.
NEC OPENER
Fairleigh Dickinson opens up Northeast Conference play on its home turf at University Stadium for the third straight season and four of the last five. The Knights have four straight NEC openers, and last lost their first game of conference play back in 2012 at Quinnipiac – now a member of the MAAC.
AMONG NEC LEADERS
Three Knights sit in the top ten in points in the NEC –
Elma Kolenovic is T4 (10 points),
Sofia Albertsson is 7th (9), and
Viktorija Miseljic is T10 (7).
Kolenovic is tied for the league in goals with five and Albertsson is T4 with four markers this season.
Jessi Reinhardt has totaled two assists this season, which puts the senior T5 in the NEC.

Amanda Fitzgerald is second in the conference in saves with 52 and is fifth in save percentage at .732.
