HACKENSACK, N.J. - Game three of the 2016 season for the Fairleigh Dickinson women's soccer team will be an instate affair as the Knights travel to Rider for a Thursday night clash. Kick off is set for 7 p.m. in Lawrenceville, New Jersey.

Fairleigh Dickinson is coming off a 1-1 trip to Texas, which included a 3-1 loss to UNLV on Friday and a 3-2 double overtime win over UT-Rio Grande Valley on Sunday. It is the third straight season that the Knights have started 1-1.

The Knights came back twice against UTRGV before winning in overtime. Fairleigh Dickinson was down 1-0 at the half and then 2-1 late in the second half.

SERIES SCORE
Rider and Fairleigh Dickinson have split the prior nine meetings 4-4-1. The Knights have won the last three meetings — the last two coming in overtime. Fairleigh Dickinson needed double overtime to get the 2-1 win last season at home. The two sides have every season since 2010.

SCOUTING RIDER
The Broncs opened the season with a 4-1 loss to No. 10 Rutgers at home. Rider took a 1-0 lead just before the half-hour mark and had that lead at halftime. Valeria Pascuet scored in her collegiate debut. The No. 10 Scarlet Knights then scored twice in the opening two minutes of the second half and then tacked on two more. Rider is coming off a 10-7-1, 6-3-1 MAAC season in 2015 where they reached the semifinals of the MAAC Tournament.

REGIONALLY RANKED
After a 1-1 weekend, the Knights find themselves ranked No. 10 in the Northeast Region by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA). The Knights are the only team ranked that does not compete in either the American Athletic Conference or the Big East Conference.

NEC WEEKLY HONORS
Elma Kolenovic (Manhattan, N.Y./NYC Lab) was Northeast Conference Player of the Week this week after scoring three goals down in Texas. The sophomore scored from the penalty spot in the 3-1 loss to UNLV. The New York native then scored the game-tying goal and the overtime winner against UTRGV on Sunday afternoon. It was Kolenovic's second career NEC Player of the Week honor.

DEBUTS
Amanda Fitzgerald (Holbrook, N.Y./Sachem East) made her collegiate debut in goal for the Knights. The freshman went 1-1 over the weekend and played every second of the first two games. Jackson Bennett (Toronto, Ontario/Humberside Collegiate Institute) scored in her second game as a collegiate. The New Jersey native tied the game against UTRGV at one in the second half.
