LIVE STATS | TWITTER HACKENSACK, N.J. – The 2015 regular season begins on Friday for the Fairleigh Dickinson women's soccer team when they travel to Temple for a 4 p.m. match versus the Owls.
This will be the fourth meeting all-time between the two programs. Temple holds a 2-1 record in the previous three matchups. Fairleigh Dickinson did win the last meeting—4-0—back in 2005 at University Stadium.
The Owls finished with an 11-8-1 overall and a 3-5-1 mark in the American Athletic Conference in 2014. The 11 wins tied a program record. Kelly Farrell returns after leading the Owls in goals (9) and points (20) last season. Kayla Cunningham also returns after recording nine points (4g, 1a) a season ago. Shauni Kerkhoff returns in goal for Temple after playing all but 21 minutes last season while recording a 1.13 GAA and a 0.775 save percentage.
Fairleigh Dickinson is coming off a Northeast Conference Regular Season Title in 2014—their first since 2004—and an appearance in the NEC Championship for the first time.
Rachel Hoekstra (Bowmanville, Ontario/Clarington Central ) returns after setting the program season record for points (25), goals (12) and shots (82) in 2014. The redshirt-junior is now just one goal from tying the program record of 22 and is seven points from tying that record of 52. The Ontario native also received First Team All-NEC honors last season.
Connie Lewis (Outer Cove, Newfoundland/Gonzaga )—also a First Team All-NEC member—returns after being second on the team in points with 19 (9g, 3a). Lewis ranks eighth in the career goals with 11 and 10th in points with 28.

Carly Tice (Highland Falls, N.Y./James I. O'Neill ) and
Amanda Goulet (Quebec City, Quebec/Shattuck-St. Mary's ) along with NEC All-Rookie Team honoree,
Dara Battistoni (Pleasant Valley, N.Y/Arlington).
In goal,
Felicia Burr (Bellingham, Mass./Blackstone-Millville ) returns after playing all but 57 minutes in goal for the Knights and posting a 1.06 GAA and a 0.747 save percentage. Burr also ranks third all-time in save percentage with a 0.761 career clip. Burr ranks fourth in career shutouts with five after posting four last season.
After the game with Temple, the Knights return to University Stadium for their home opener against Rider on Thursday, August 27.
