TEANECK, N.J. – The Fairleigh Dickinson University baseball team will host Mount St. Mary's this weekend with a berth in the Northeast Conference Tournament on the line.  The Knights (17-23, 8-12 NEC) and Mountaineers (11-28, 9-11 NEC) are two of the four teams with hopes of claiming one of the final two spots in the conference tournament.  First pitch on Friday, May 15 is scheduled for 3 p.m. with Saturday and Sunday's action slated to start at 1 p.m.

NEC TOURNAMENT
The NEC Tournament is a week away and the field is far from set.  Bryant and Wagner have clinched playoff berths and will play this weekend for the regular season title and #1 seed.  FDU, Mount, Central Connecticut and Sacred Heart are all within two games of each other heading into the final weekend.  FDU and Mount play their four game series Friday, Saturday and Sunday, while the Blue Devils and Pioneers play a four game set Thursday, Friday and Saturday.

THE KNIGHTS' PATH
For FDU, a sweep of Mount clinches a NEC Tournament berth with a 12-12 record.  If the Knights win three of the four games this weekend and finish at 11-13, they will officially eliminate Mount from contention, but their playoff bid will still hinge on the outcome of the CCSU-SHU series and potential tiebreakers, which will also be impacted by the result of the Bryant-Wagner series.

SENIOR DAY
On Sunday, the Knights will honor the program's eight graduating seniors (Joe Borelli (Wallingford, Conn./Mark T. Sheehan ), Anthony Calise (Pearl River, N.Y./Pearl River), Corbin Gapski (Clay, N.Y.), Jack Loftus (Dumore, Pa./Dunmore), Ryan McGrath (Lansingburgh, N.Y./Lansingburgh), Riley Moonan (Syracuse, N.Y./Cicero North), Yonah Perline (Dix Hills, N.Y./St. Dominic) and Eric Snyder (Slatington, Pa./Northern Lehigh)) during a pregame ceremony.  The presentation is expected to begin at 12:40 p.m.
