W. XC Competes at Fordham Fiasco

BRONX, N.Y. -- The Fairleigh Dickinson women's cross country team competed at the Fordham Fiasco at Van Cortlandt Park on Saturday.

The Knights were led by freshmen Ariela Sutherland (Queens, N.Y./), who finished the 5k race with a time of 23:37.70. 

Sophomore Omawattie Singh (Queens, N.Y./Boys and Girls) was the next FDU finisher, completing the course with a time of 28:48.78. Juniors Mildred Sam-Otuh (Allentown, Pa./Allentown Central Catholic) and Skye Tiller (Woodbury, N.J./Woodbury) finished the race consecutively with times of 24:26.53 and 24:46.20.

Sophomore Jhanee Sterrett (Queens, N.Y./Boys and Girls ), junior Kenesha Brown (Easton, Pa./Easton Area) and sophomore Caitlin Boyles (Upper Marlboro, Md./Largo) finished the race back-to-back-to-back, with times of 25:13.98, 25:21.38 and 25:33.34, respectively.

The Knights will have three weeks to prepare for their next competition. On Saturday Sept. 27, FDU will return to action at the Ted Owen Invitational, hosted by CCSU, in New Britain, Conn at Stanley Quarter Park.
