Senior Egzona Morina, was named Northeast Conference Player of the Month for September and was recognized for winning the Flight B crown at this past weekend's Army Invitational.
The road to the title began with a straight-set 6-3, 6-1 win over Stony Brook's Becky Shtilkind in the round of 16. She then made quick work of UMass' Julia Comas, 6-4, 6-2, in the quarterfinals. On the final day on Sunday, she took down Sarah Ali from Fordham by a score of 6-7(4), 6-4, 10-6 before beating another Fordham player, Angie Dabu, 6-2, 6-3 in the finals. For the month, Morina has gone 5-1 in singles play.
