FDU Knights Athletics

Freshman Cindy Zamudio went 6-for-16 last week as the Knights split a doubleheader at Army before sweeping Central Connecticut State with a pair of walk-off wins to start NEC play 2-0.  She drove home a pair of runs against CCSU in the first game, including a lead-off solo home run (first of her career) to tie the game at two in the bottom of the seventh.  In the nightcap, Zamudio hit a walk-off single to win the game, giving FDU the sweep over CCSU.  She is currently the toughest person to strike out in the nation (zero strikeouts in 75 at-bats) and is hitting .453 on the season.
