Junior Mae Thompson finished 20th in the quarterfinals of the women's 800m at the NCAA East Prelims and does not qualify for the NCAA Track and Field Finals in Eugene, Oregon.

Thompson finished in 2:11.17, which placed her sixth in her heat and 20th overall. The top three finishers from each of the three heats and the next three quickest times moved through to Eugene.

The junior grabbed one of the final spots in the quarters on Thursday night in the first round to compete Thursday.
