Sophomore forward Kelsey Cruz averaged 16.0 points and 4.0 rebounds per game in a pair of opening losses in Northeast Conference play (L at Bryant, 77-63 on Jan. 4; L vs. St. Francis Brooklyn, 57-55 on Jan. 6).

Cruz fell one point away from matching her career high when she dropped 23 points versus Bryant on 9-of-15 shooting from the field. Her timely baskets get the Knights within striking distance most of the second half.

In the heartbreaking loss to St. Francis Brooklyn, Cruz chipped in nine points and tied a career high in rebounds with seven.
