DAYOTNA BEACH, FL - FDU Cheer team concluded the 2026 season with a 19th place finish at NCA College Nationals. The team took the floor at 10:57AM this morning, and then had to wait all day for the results which weren't revealed into late this afternoon. A top-20 finish outperformed their previous mark in 2024, when they finished 23rd. It was a closely contested cheer competition with FDU earning an event score of 87.1018, trailing a top-10 team by just five points.

"We are incredibly proud of the team's performance at NCA finals and how we represented FDU throughout the entire season," head coach
Crystal Simmons said in reflection the trip. "We set the standard and the team rose to the occasion every step of the way. Their growth and commitment have continued to elevate the FDU Knights Cheer program."
This year's team only featured one senior,
Andrea Cirino, several juniors and sophomores, and 11 freshmen, ensuring the future is bright for FDU Cheer. Amongst schools in the northeast who competed Intermediate All Girls Division I, FDU defeated Manhattan, Sacred Heart, Fairfield, and Drexel. The day however belonged to Cal Baptist who won the Nationals with a 96.4769.
