DAYTONA BEACH, FL - The FDU Cheer team competed in the preliminary round of the NCA College Nationals on Friday afternoon. Competing at the Ocean Center Arena in the Intermediate All Girl Division I group, the Knights performed well finishing the day in 19th place. The standings are close as less than two points separate FDU from a top-10 position.

Crystal Simmons was very pleased after the performance, "FDU Knights Cheer showed up to NCA determined. Growth is part of the game but so is preparation, and we've done the work. They've earned this moment. Day 2 isn't just another performance it's time to finish what we started."
The Knights will hit the mats on Saturday with a performance scheduled for 10:57AM at the Ocean Center Arena. FDU will look to better their score of 21.5532 and reduce their deductions which came in at .75. After Friday's prelims, the Knights were ahead of local rivals Fairfield, Manhattan, Sacred Heart, and Drexel. Maine leads the group with a score of 24.1482.
