Jackson's Winning Performances Earn Player of the Week Honors

BRIDGEWATER, N.J. – Taeshaud Jackson recorded double-doubles in back-to-back FDU victories this past week in Hackensack. Today, he was named the NEC Player of the Week for the first time this season.

Jackson matched a career-high with 22 points on 10-14 shooting in FDU's win over Stonehill on Thursday. He complemented his scoring with ten rebounds, and four assists. The senior forward followed that performance up with a 16-point 10-rebound double-double in the Knights' thrilling 55-52 victory over Mercyhurst. Jackson led FDU in scoring in both contests.

On the week, Jackson averaged 19 points and 11 rebounds. He shot 76.2% from the field and went a cool 6-6 from the charity stripe.

Thanks to these stellar showings, Jackson now leads the NEC in rebounding at 8.5 boards per game. He ranks first on the defensive glass and sits in the top five in offensive rebounding. He is now averaging double-figures in scoring at 10.5 points per game, putting him third on FDU in that category.

Jackson and FDU are back home for two games this week. Fans can catch the Knights Thursday at 7 p.m. when they take on Saint Francis, and then on Saturday at 2 p.m. against Central Connecticut.
