BRIDGEWATER, N.J. – FDU's Hana Abigail Sangalang was named the NEC Women's Bowling Rookie of the Week on Wednesday afternoon. Through two weeks of the season, the Knights have claimed the only two Rookie of the Week honors (Caelyn Brown).

Sangalang helped pull FDU out of an early hole at the Golden Bear Invite this past weekend. The freshman filled 84% of her frames in the traditional round, with an efficient makeable spare percentage of 90.3%. This led to an average per frame of 17.96 pins.

Her impressive shotmaking continued in the baker round. She converted on 8-16 double baker opportunities and saw her average per frame touch 18.55 pins. Sangalang knocked down 29 strikes and 44 spares in 88 total frames.

The Knights finished in third place at the competition.
