HACKENSACK, N.J. – FDU women's basketball head coach Stephanie Gaitley has announced Samera Marsh as the Knights' new assistant coach. Marsh brings extensive collegiate coaching experience, with stops at UMass, Manhattan, Wagner, Delaware State, LIU, Monroe College and Saint Peter's.

Marsh joins the Knights following a 2025–26 season at the University of Massachusetts, where she served as an assistant coach. During her time with the Minutewomen, she helped develop the team's top scorers, led the point guard position group and contributed to the program's 2025 Women's National Invitation Tournament appearance.

Before joining UMass, Marsh served as an assistant women's basketball coach and recruiting coordinator from 2023–25. She also previously coached at Manhattan University, Wagner College, Delaware State University, LIU, Monroe College and Saint Peter's University, building a career spanning nearly two decades in collegiate basketball.

During her time at Wagner in 2021–22, Marsh served as lead assistant coach and recruiting coordinator, helping guide the Seahawks to the Northeast Conference Tournament semifinals and a 17-win season.

Marsh also brings head coaching experience to the Knights. During her tenure at Delaware State, she served as interim head coach while helping the program develop conference award winners and achieve its best conference finish in 12 years.

At LIU, Marsh contributed to recruiting efforts that brought in conference Rookie of the Year selections and helped the program earn its first NEC Tournament victory in eight years.

Her five seasons at Monroe College from 2010–15 were highlighted by back-to-back NJCAA Division II National Championships in 2011 and 2012, along with four consecutive district titles from 2012–15. During that span, the program produced four NJCAA All-Americans and four Region XV Players of the Year, while numerous student-athletes advanced to four-year institutions.

Marsh began her collegiate coaching career at Saint Peter's University, her alma mater, where she served as an assistant coach from 2008–10. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication from Saint Peter's in 2008 and a Master of Science degree in Sports Administration from Delaware State University.

Marsh joins the Knights as the program prepares for the 2026–27 season, bringing a wealth of coaching, recruiting, and player development experience to FDU women's basketball.
