NEW YORK, N.Y. - Six members of the FDU Track and Field team received invites and will be competing in the 2026 Millrose Games at the New York Track and Field Armory this weekend.
The Men's 4x400 Relay Team was invited to participate in the games, with the relay team consisting of sophomores
Chase Lopez,
Joshua Gresham,
Liam Schwabik and junior
Dean Joseph.
Lopez is coming off of a fall where he was named to the All NEC Cross Country Team, and since then, Lopez has won at least one event in all three track meets he has participated in the year 2026. Gresham is one of the premier sprinters in the NEC, as his time of 49.85 seconds in the 400 meter is the third best in all the conference. Schwabik is also another member of the Knights Cross Country Team that will be making his way to the Millrose Games, as his time in the Men's 800 meter run event is inside the top ten in the NEC, and he has proven to run well in the big races. Joseph runs less than one second slower than Gresham in the 400 meter dash, which is also inside the top ten in the NEC on the conference's indoor performance list. The relay team together is one of the best in the region as well as the conference.
Two FDU Women's Throwers will also be heading to the games to participate in the Women's Weight Throw event, with the NEC's best graduate
Laila Davis and junior
Tata Coulibaly will head to the Armory.
Davis joined FDU for her final season of eligibility, where she has made the most of her last season. Davis is one of the best throwers in the NEC, as she is second in the conference in Weight Throw as well as Shot Put, only trailing her teammate
Tata Coulibaly in the Weight Throw. Coulibaly threw a new personal best 17.10 meters at the Wagner College Invitational to take the number one seed in the Women's Weight Throw performance list. Both throwers will be looking to make their name on the big stage this weekend in the Big Apple.
Fans can watch the event on both Runner Space and NBC, as the event will kick off at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, January 31st, and action ill continue into the 1st of February.
