Ruffin's Runner-Up Finish Highlights Knights at Penn Relays

PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – Sophomore jumper Ethan Ruffin's runner-up finish in the Men's High Jump event highlighted the men's and women's track & field teams as select Knights competed at the historic 2026 Penn Relays, turning in strong performances on one of the sport's biggest stages at Franklin Field.

Ruffin tied his career best jump with a leap of 2.17 meters, clearing the bar on the second attempt to tie his own best mark in the NEC. Ruffin's mark of 2.17 meters continues to be one of the best in all of the East region, and the very best in the NEC.

The women's team highlighted the weekend with an impressive showing in the College Women's 4x400 Eastern final. FDU's group of Emmanuella Koroma, MacKenna Calvin, Nya Blades and Cortney Adams earned a runner-up finish against a deep field, showcasing the team's speed in one of the premier relay events of the meet.

The men's team also competed in several relay events, including the Men's 4x100 and Men's 4x400 College races. The Knights continued to build momentum  gaining experience against some of the top programs in the Northeast and across the nation.

The Knights will take on the NEC Outdoor Championships at their next meet, as FDU will head to New Britain, Conn. for the NEC's final event of the outdoor season. Action from the track is set to start at 9 a.m. on Saturday, May 2nd.
