Game Recap: Women's Lacrosse |

Women's Lacrosse Closes Season with Dominant 14-3 Victory

TEANECK, N.J. – FDU women's lacrosse closed their season with a convincing 14-3 victory over Central Connecticut at home on Saturday afternoon. The 2025 Knights set a new bar for the program with five wins in just their third-ever campaign. They finish the year 5-11 overall and 4-5 in conference play.

Brielle McInaw shined for the Knights and capped off a stellar junior season in Teaneck. She struck for three goals and two assists en route to a five-goal day. The Pennsylvania native now holds the single season record with 32 goals.

While the goals did not come right away, FDU held control of this game from the first draw control. They led 2-0 after the first quarter and extended their lead to 6-0 before halftime. The Burgundy and Blue really pulled away in the third quarter, outscoring CCSU 5-0. They held a 12-0 lead before the Blue Devils were able to get on the board.

FDU celebrated graduate student goalkeeper Isabella Gismondi on her senior day. Gismondi was given the start and did not disappoint. She stopped eight of 11 shots on goal and stifled a few woman-up opportunities for CCSU.

Freshman Adriana Mavlios put the finishing touches on a spectacular debut season. With two goals and an assist today, she ends the year on a 13-game point streak. Overall, she finished the year with 38 points, the most of any NEC rookie.

FDU also got another hat-trick from sophomore Nora Codianni. She scored three second half goals. The New York native also collected four draw controls, three ground balls and one caused turnover.

The Knights' dominance showed up in all areas of the stat sheet. They outshot CCSU 40-17, doubled them up in draw controls, and picked up seven more groundballs.

The win marks the end of the 2025 season. FDU finished one game out of the NEC tournament. It is their highest finish in the history of the young program.
